About Us

BeaTz Dance Academy was founded by Cassi Muskett in July 2011. It started off small with a few evening classes and now has numerous classes running over Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. We are an independent dance school that works closely within the communities, schools and organisations around Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. Our staff hold CRB checks and hold qualifications in what they teach.

We are a small company establishing itself for the outstanding delivery and commitment to the classes taught. We have various classes running and lots of interest across the two counties.


The classes offered vary from; Street dance, hip hop, commercial, cheerleading, Jazz, Tap, ballet, Modern, Troupe classes, Movement to music, drama classes as well as performing arts classes, Boxercise, fitness for children and adults, Zumba and Street fit.


We have staff that are registered with UDO (street dance Syllabus work so children can work towards grades in street dance) With all this teaching a wide range of ages and abilities from nursery children, primary and secondary, adult and people with learning disabilities.


We like to give every male or female the opportunity to feel equal and attend something they enjoy or have an interest in without being judged. With all this the chance to raise the health and fitness market in our local areas and encourage extra activities and learning.


Our future goals are; to have well grounded, fun, energetic, learning, educational classes running in various areas on a regular basis. For schools and companies/ committees to be able to approach us knowing we are the right people to suit their requested needs in what we are qualified to do.

Cassi Muskett: Founder & teacher

Cassi has danced since the age of 3, however most her life she trained as a gymnast competing all over the country. She fell back into focusing on her dancing when she started secondary school which then lead onto attending college doing what she loved. During cassi’s child hood she attended dance & theatre schools and had many opportunities with auditions, educational films and performing on Rada stage in a number of musicals. Although Whilst at college cassi realised her heart laid with teaching. This where she began gaining her experience and hasn’t stopped since.


Qualifications: NATD in street dance, BTECnational diploma in performing arts, NVQ in Coaching for children, cheerleading for fitness, Boxercise instructor, Lamda grades 5&6, first aid trained, children protection, CRB checked.


Faye Watson: teacher

Faye started dancing at the age of 4 where she attended the Jason Theatre School in Hertfordshire. At Jason’s she trained in tap, ballet, modern and jazz taking many exams through the ISTD syllabus. In 2003 she started her studies for her BTEC National Diploma in Dance at Hertford Regional College where she trained in a variety of dance genres and gained Triple Distinction equivalent to 3 A levels. She then went on to North London Dance Studios to further her training on a Musical Theatre course. At NLDS she studied her FDI and CDE teaching qualifications in tap and modern gaining an in depth knowledge on how to teach the ISTD syllabus. Teaching all the wide variety of ages made Faye realise how much she loves to teach and help others enjoy every style of dance. Faye has taught for many more dance and stage schools in and around Hertfordshire. In 2012 Faye took her Street Fit qualification which is a new fitness class based on street dance moves. Faye has a passion for choreography and enjoys teaching as she believes everyone can gain confidence and improve their fitness through dance.


Qualifications: Musical Theatre Dilpoma from NLDS, BTEC National Diploma in Dance, UDO Street Dance up to Grade 2, FDI Tap and ballet, Zumba License, StreetFit License Adults/Children, CRB Checked 2012, First Aid, Child Protection


Kathleen Hughes: teacher

Kathleen started dancing at the age of 6 and went on to train at The Centre Performing Arts College, where she gained Diplomas in Theatre Performance and Teaching Studies and also ISTD DDI Modern and Tap qualifications. She has performed in many productions at various locations including ‘Her Majesty’s Theatre’ in London. Kathleen has experience in teaching a wide range of dance styles to babies up to 16 year olds. She is keen to share her passion for dance with young aspiring children.
